rarity....1st gen with a tranny problem??? (sarcasm intended)

alright, its been a miunte since ive been on here but tha whip was runnin smoothly until a few days ago......has anyone else had this problem??... when my car is cold, the tranny shifts violently through all of the gears and has a hard time accelerarting but when it reaches operating (normal) temp, its fine (or at least very close to it).....tha car threw engine codes the other day and when i chacked them out, it said that the cylinders (4 out of 6) were misfiring AND that there was a "TCC malfunction" (torque convertor circuit i'm assuming).....suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated........ anyone???

i think my tranny is about to hit the crapper but when its cold it is completely retarted.hard shifts, neutrals for a couple seconds before shifting.it still does this when warm but not a 1/4 as bad. my check engine blew a o2 sensor a while back but now that i read that im scared she might be throwin other codes as well. she better not be misfiring

I don't know if this is a problem or a "feature" of the car... I've read on several sites that some cars do this to get the tranny fluid up to normal operating temperature faster. I myself never experienced it until my first winter, in the warm weather the shifting seems fine.

Does your car also shift in an annoying manner when you're driving slowly (eg stop and go traffic etc.)?

ive had tha ac for about 4 years now, its got 132,000 on it now.......it shifted somewhat noticably before but this is downright ridiculous, when its really cold (ie first thing in the morning) i can drive, stop at a stoplight, and have it jerk the car forward if im not on the brakes all the way....i had a clogged cat before and it had somewhat similar probs with it shifting, but nothing as violent as this.......whats got me shook tho, is the fact that its only when i first fire it up after its been sitting for a while, ie overnight, or 8 or so hours while im at work.....i hate to throw all of my tax return on a new tranny, but i guess i gotta do what i have to if that is indeed tha problem

Yep, your soon to be a member of the 2nd Transmission Club...

Look into the Dr. Evil group buy. Great deal on one bad ass, bullet-proof transmission.

yeah but you are stock fool. MY shit's slipping when cold on the 2>3 shift and I have almost every NA mod possible, so I give my car 3 months max before it shits a brick.
