radio code
If you don't have the card that came with your car your probably SOL.
It's the size of a credit card and says "Anti-Theft Radio Identification Card"....it has the serial# of your radio and the code # on it.
You'll have to call an Acura dealer so they can pull your radio out, get the serial#, and then re-program it.
Bad thing is the dealer might/probably charge you some $$$

i took mine to the dealership and they said they gonna charge me $100 bucks for taking it out and reading the serial.. so i said forget that.. i went home and took out my radio and read the serial # from the back... after that i called the acura dealership and gave them my serial # and they gave my code # ..
Generally, the dealership where it was originally purchased will keep the card on file for 3 years. I bought my car used and called the dealership where the first owner purchased it and they gave me the code in about 5 seconds.

That's complete BULL$H!T. I think your
dealer :wackit: wanted to make a few $$$'s from you just to pull the radio out. I bought my CL used from an Acura dealership. When I had my intake installed they had to unplug the battery which made my stock Acura deck ask for the code. I took my CL back to the Acura dealer and asked them what my code was. They said they couldn't find out (unless they pulled the radio to look at the SN), but they had a universal code which they used to unlock it at no charge. Glad to hear you didn't give them any $$$ just to pull it out.

Call the dealership where it was originally purchased from (either by you or previous owner) and they should ask for the last 8 numbers of your VIN. This will give them enough for the details of the car and they should have the code still on file. I just did this a couple weeks ago.
My battery died because I left the lights on while at school and after jump starting it, it asked me for the code. I bought it used from a local but mentionable dealership. They told me I need to take the deck out and give them the serial number with enough proof of ownership and they would give me the code. So for the first time ever without any knowledge of my car's stereo, I took the bitch out. It only took a few hours(!!), but now that I've done it so many times it doesn't take so long. However I took the deck to the dealership and the motherfuckers wanted me to pay $112 to get the code back. I told them to fuck off(literally) and that I should have gotten the code when I bought the car(it was used). I have the card with the VIN number and it has the first name of the dude that bought the car.
What should I do?
What should I do?
try calling & visiting another dealership. the serial #, VIN, and your registration should be enough proof for them to give it to you for free. u already went thru the trouble of finding the serial # by taking the damn thing out!
HHHMmmm try the Owners manual, sometimes the owner actually writes it on there.
I've also noticed that when I took my car to the dealership for service, the code was on the service sheet/invoice. If you go to the same dealership as the previous owner, maybe you can ask them to print one out or something. get a oil change or something cheap.
You can also try contacting the person you purchased the car from, I have mine memorized. Or maybe you can try contacting Bose or Acura Care.
I dunno just tryna help.

Check under the cap of your fuse box. The code was there for my 98 CL 3.0
If you have tried the code a few times and it comes up with a err you will need to leave your car and stereo on for 45 min to an hour for it to reset. The stereo will beep, then you can use the code in the fuse box.
Hope this helps.

hehe) actually went out to my car and opened my glove box. Turns out my code was on a sticker on the outer left side of it.
She then went and got tools and unplugged my battery and re-installed my code, all at no charge.
Hopefully that helps, sorry for the long story. lol

I changed the battery and the code thing came out and since i bought the car off some one they didint have the owners manual so i went to the stealership and the code for me was as well in the glove box on the left on a sticker and free of charge even though when i called to enquire they told me 95$ bucks over the phone for the code

I have a headunit from a 98 accord rather than the stock Acura one... But anyway... I got a new battery, checked under the ash tray... that didn't work so I looked under the headunit via taking it out... and found the code on the bottom of the HU...

Very true. For the record, my dealer gave me the code just by giving them my VIN.
