Put the pro kit on today

After a few months of the springs sitting in my trunk we finally got them put on. It took about 4.5-5 hrs with a trip to home depot included. All I can say is thank god for the air gun, even though it couldnt be used in all places. I was surprised to see we didnt even need to use the spring compressor to put the rears on the strut. So far im pretty happy with the way it looks and rides, although ive only driven the few miles from my friend's house to mine.

I plan on getting an alignment next week just to feel safe...hopefully the camber will be within specs.

BTW, we decided to go with what most people on here say and put the lettering upside down in the rears (compressed side down), only because that seems to be the trend.

i dont know how there's a trend to install them but there is only one correct way. the larger coils go up top. enjoy the prokits!

Stick with the trend and get some koni's and put them on the bottom perch and be slammed like VXCL.

Well i posted a posted a poll and searched around and some did it the other way but i went with what you and most others did.

BTW, is it worth it to get that alignment next week or should i wait longer for everything to settle in?

i thin the confusion lies in using oem shocks. aftermaket one typically have a small spring perch so there's no ? about it.

I post pics in a week or so, when i get back to school where i'll have access to a camera and high speed internet. I was gonna measure the gaps tonight but it's raining so ill do it tomorrow. The front gap is a little bigger than the back, but overall im pleased.

Ok it's kind of hard to measure the gaps, but I seem to be getting 1.75in. gap in the back and 2.25 up front.

From ground to wheel well it measures 26in. up front and 25.5 in the back. Keep in mind that's w/ stock wheels & tires.

I'll measure it in a couple weeks to see if it settles any more, and of course I forgot to measure beforehand so I have no idea how much it dropped.

It's been a few weeks so im guessing it's settled all it's going to. The ride is fine all things considered (stock struts for now remember) and overall im happy with it.

tuckn' 16's eh?

#1. nobody tucks anything with the pro-kit and stock shocks.

#2. 16's are pretty fuckin hard to tuck seeing as they are so small so your going to need a little more than just the pro-kit to be " tuckn' "

i hate coined terms AAHHHHHH

1. true

2. koni yellows solve that. i ended up with about 2.25" in the front and 2" in the rear with prokits

very true...i absolutely love your drop man, its so perfect! I'm thinking about doing that same combination too but the Teins are a little too enticing. Its going to be a tough decision, but if i have the cash i'll probably go with the Teins.

By the way your car is one of the cleanest I've seen, good shit man keep it up but you gotta get some wheels for real

after i thought about it im serioulsy debating tein ss coilovers myself for several reasons. one thing im not sure of is how much stiffer the ride would be. prokits ride sweet! i cannot even begin to say how awesome they are with koni yellows. worth every $.

as far as rims well thats related. i got them picked out rays gram LIGHTS 57pro . they are sick. if my drop isn't enough with the larger rim then i have no choice but to get the teins.

thanks for the compliments. took me 3 yrs and many phases that i am embaressed of. sometimes i think my cl just ok and then ppl like you make it worth it. it is going to be hard to keep up with ppl like katana. my list of to do's is so long and my pockects so empty.

Excellent choice on wheels, I really dig the way those look. They should fit the appearence of the CL nicely!

Trust me, I know oh so well the feeling of empty pockets with such a huge list to work with. Oh well, the slow process makes it so much more gratifying in the end even if it does suck

oh yeah, i hate Katana too, haha, his car is so awesome, i'm incredibly jealous!

To not try and hijack this thread anymore than we did already...I love the pro-kits that I installed on my Integra. I wasn't really satisfied with the drop but the handling definitely improved and I was very satisfied with the purchase
