Puleys

If you put underdrive puleys on your car it causes all things to be turned slower right?
That means that the ac compresor, altinator, power streating and whatever else wont be turned as fast as they were designed to be. So what im asking is does this result in not so cols ac, harder to turn stearing wheel, and less eletric power?
If so how noticable is it?

i just ordered some blue aem pullies for an accord I4. aem part # 23-7018B. i called aem and spkoe to them. yes ur alternator will turn slower and so will power steering. so at idle u willl be making less power, but aem says u should have no probs with lights ac/ heat etc. if u have a system then u should turn it way down. becuase the pullies are turning the alternator slower it should last longer as long as u dont draw to much power during idle, cuz the alternator will fry cuz it just cant supply that kind of power at idle with pullies. once u start driving u can turn things back up. get a good deep cycle battery and some capacitor 1 or 2 farads and u should have no probs with a system as long as u turn it down during idle. thats what aem says and that makes sense to me. u dont need 14 volts for ur lights etc. im still unsure about the a/c during idle though. ill call them again, i know the a/c draw alot of power when its on. i wonder if turning it on low or if its on low if that reduces the amount of power it uses. obviously the fans will be using less, but i dont know about the a/c unit itself or if that matters. if u ask me theres too much crap out ther just like "get a bypass valve if u get a cai" well i talked to aem and they told me theres no need for it, just stay out of deep puddles 12" so i do. i still havent found one that deep and my car is fine with no stupid ass ugly bypass valve. i drive through shits loads of rain. so ill trust them again.

Mabey if you bought an altanator that put out more amps than the stock one? That should help quite a bit. yes? no?

at idle i doubt it. but when driving i bet it will help chrage ur battery up faster and supply more power. its just spinning so slowly at idle that i don't really think it will matter. ull have to speak to the company who makes the higher power alternator and ask them how much it makes at 500 rpm.

hey anyone here have them on ur 2.2/ 2.3??? well i just ordered them. and i got an optima red top battery to go along with them just in case. i know the v6 accords seem to9 have a lot of probs with aem pullies, but i havent seen anything on an I4. most ppl say they kill their battery and alternator, but that is becuase they use their car like it had stock alternator pully

I have them on my 2.3. I run a stereo system all of the time with the pulleys. At times, I am running the A/C too. Even in stop and go traffic. The steering feels the same and at times, the headlights go with the bass at idle. Oh yeah, I still have my stock battery.

yeah thats what i want to hear. i think its all the install that will cause probs. i hear changing the power steering pully on a j30 like the accord or the 3.0cl is a pain and most ppl dont do it right. soem use the old belt cuz its alot of work to change it. something with undoing an engine mount. and something with the crank pulley.. i dont know. they got probs with their p/s and crap. im glad to not hear this about the f22 pullies.

I dident get my lower grill exactley how i wanted it so i put it on the inside of the bumper. The material was too flexable, but i did get a pattern made. The fola tech stuff is in the mail, i hope.
