Proud new owner of a 97 3.0 CL.
I'm away at school and my family bought it for me, I haven't even seen it yet and they are being mean and won't send me pictures... It's dark green, bose stereo, factory alarm, spoiler. I'm so stoked about this car. I'll post pictures on Friday when I get home from school after finals ( ) and have a chance to take pictures of it.
I hope to be full of questions for this board.

I think you're going to like it. Like many people, I've had to do some belt-tightening and really watch the budget. I had a Dodge Stratus R/T sedan that I was lucky enough to find someone to take over the lease. The timing was perfect, as my friend was ready to sell his '97 CL 2.2. For the money, I couldn't beat it.
I was expecting to find a rather genteel and fairly bland car, however after 10 days with it, I'm having a lot of fun. It's comfortable, quick (very stock) and is saving me a ton of money between insurance and gas.
I have big plans for this car, but like many of the people that are on this board, I am going to prioritize them, so it will be a continual work in progress.
Hope you enjoy yours, and I look forward to seeing the pics.

Already looking for clears. Found the newbie FAQ and that helped with some links. The interior color is from what my mother tells me (I still haven't seen the damn thing, they say it is something to look forward to) it's like a "gray-beige" not tan. We'll see what that means

Yay! More rattles. I drove an Explorer before this, I know the feeling. If it wasn't some high pitch squeal here, it was some scraping noise there. Also I have no problem taking the CL apart down to the ground and tightening/padding/etc. We'll see if that damn thing rattles when I'm done with it.

Whatever all used cars rattle. My friends 97 M3 rattles 10x more than my car.
Plus, adding stiff springs/shocks and tires with small sidewalls does not help much either.
That is why a good amp and sub combo is necessary

Wow, it's nice to hear of cars with a lot of miles on them that still look good and run good. We bought mine with 113,000 on it. Scared me at first, but I got over it quickly when I realized that it was a japanese made vehicle .
