I've got the bottle brackets mounted, and the main feed line run up to the engine bay. I'll tackle the rest through the week. Here's are better pics: Zex Install.

I thought about that, but the feed line from the bottle isn't long enough. I'm like 12-18" short. I'll need to mount it somewhere close to the firewall; but where?

Maybe that's why! I ran it under the car. I'll try under the carpet and through the firewall. I may gain a foot or 2.

Good luck with the rest of the install.

I've had a hard time finding places for my goodies too. I'm sure you'll figure it out. Would suggest a few places, but I got a 2 & 1/5th liter.

Hey dust lookin good. I also ran my line under the carpet and then mounted the control unit behind the intake manifold by the TB. I'm sure your engine bay is different than my 2.3 but heres an old pic so you can get an idea. I'm sure you'll love your new track times .

I'm starting with a 55 shot to see how the car reacts to it, then going up to a 75 shot. The kit comes with 55, 65, and 75 shot jets, so swapping them out is pretty easy.

I finally got the kit wired on Tuesday!

The bitch of it is, the fucking nozzle is missing!

I called Zex and it's back-ordered!

So, I wait!

The purge kit is a trip. I have it blowing up the windshield. The first time I fired it, the wiper blade blew up, off of the windshield! That thing is powerful! I've since aimed it so that it doesn't hit anything.

I mounted the arming switch and the purge button in the front cup holder. I wanted to mount them in the coin holder, but they wouldn't fit very well.

I took some pics, just a few minutes ago. There on my Zex page. Zex

I hope to be finished by this weekend!

Hey Dust,
I mounted my arming switch there too! My purge button is below my ashtray. I ended up running my purge line out the front of the bumper.

Sucks to hear about the nozzle deal. My bottle warmer just came in, so time for some more fun.

yo dust
another place to mount the purge nozzle is where ur windshild sprayer thing is. We did one on my friends civic hybrid and just took out the passenger side sprayer and ran the purge there. It look cool when he pulls up to race and u hear "PPPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHH!!!!" and see a "mist of air" coming straight up from the hood. kinda like a whale. if i get ZEX that what im gonna do. DEFINATELY!!!!!

Looks good.

Anyone ever thought of wiring the arming switch through the horn on the steering wheel? You could keep the horn or remove it.

I wired my boost controller to it so I can press the button and go to the higher boost setting.

Keeps the stock interior in tact and would not attract thieves.

She rarely rides with me and I'll take out the bottle when she does.

I was just joking with f0de.

I do have an exhaust, it's just not on yet.

BigBrother: I'll check with Zex to see if it's coming today. Otherwise, I won't be going to the track.

[EDIT: NO NOZZLES YET! I JUST CALLED!] :'(

niedejb: I agree about the stock interior thing! With the switch and button in the cup holder, I can keep them hidden when the lid is closed. The biggest reason I kept my stock head unit was to provide the illusion that my stereo system is stock (to the would-be-thieves).

BTW: I'm going to paint the exposed purge line flat black to make it less noticeable.

Nice work dust, I plan on finishing mine up today, although I am mad cause I can't use it until I burn all this 87 out of my car. It's going to be a biotch having to pay for 93 Octane, oh well, more power

You realize that if you aim the purge kit directly on the solenoid its better than wasting it in the air for show. Colder solenoid = denser shot.

Oh wait...you got "Zex"...lol...nm...you can't do such tricks with the "smart box"

Do you have any clue about nitrous? Ever try to light it on fire?

It doesn't burn. It HELPS things burn. Me and my friends but a flame up to the nitrious and it doesn't catch on fire at all.

Ahhh . . . so you're dissing the Zex system, huh???????

Wanna race (in a few days)? :P

I just spoke to someone at Zex, and they've got 5,000 nozzles on back-order, and they have no clue when they'll be in!

What a freakin' joke!

Yeah, I read a post from f0de (I think) who said that he smoked while filling up NO2 bottles.

The guy who posted this is a jack ass
educate your self before you post and if you were joking the my apoligize
BUT nitrous is NOT flamable it jsut carries a shit load of O2 (oxygen) which makes gases burn faster also it is very cold which makes aird dense and that makes HP

nitrous was developed in ww2 by nazis in there fighter planes and they are rotary so if it was flammable those guys would have blown up all the time
