i have a question. i have a 97 2.2 auto...and when i start the car i noticed something weird. when i put in my key and turn the ignition twice (not starting the car, but just so that the whole dashboards of lights light up..u know what i mean) and for approx 3 seconds, the light for the "P" AND THE LIGHT FOR THE "D" are both on, on the dashboard. then the "D" turns off and its normal. anybody had this problem before? its kinda annoying.


btw, as i said, the car isn't started, but you can see the light for the "D" turned on when i turn the key TWICE.

LAST THING..does the CL AUTO shifter thing have light? cuz mine doesnt have the lights..the whole strip of P R N D4 D3 2 L are all turned off.

Yes there are lights under there, somebody did a DIY about how u can change the color of it also. Jus search, i think its called BLUE CLOCK, i know blue clock has nothing to do wit the shifter, but that was the title of the thread i think.

 

U need a new bulb for under the shifter

turn ur lights on and the light goes on

 

yeah mine was off when i first got my car and just thought that thing just would light up. but when i installed my system i check and noticed there was a bulb. it wasnt even blown it was just loose.

also have a 97 3.0

 

what about my first question regarding the "D" being turned on?

 

weird, i have a 97 3.0 and when i got mine the shifter light didnt work, sometimes it did, but i guess the bulb was loose.. problem was fixed when i did my blue LED interior

As for the D4 light, its normal, mine does it too and it was discussed once or twice in the past, nothing to worry about.
