problem: driver powerseat

well i posted this in "problems and fixes" but no one ever checks in there. so hears my problem, my power seat wont move forward. it'll move back and everywhich way but not forward. i dont think there is something stuck on the tracks because if you move it back it wont move forward at all. anyone else have this problem? is it hard to take out the seat? how much do you think the dealer will charge to fix this? i need to fix ASAP because the seat position is really uncomfortable right now . any info in appreciated.

thnx!!!

its only a couple of bolts. take it out and just make sure there isnt anything in the track.. does it move forward when you tilt the seat?

The dealer might charge a good amount to fix this, acura stopped selling the parts to the power seat stuff separately, or atleast my dealer seems to think so. The whole assembly is a couple hundred dollars. You may be able to find the separate parts nos though, or mabee at a honda dealer.

I had a similar problem that was caused by the body shop that fixed my car when it was run over by a f-350 not putting the seat back on the tracks square, It woudl bind going forward. If your seat hasn't been appart though I can't imagine what the problem is.

When my car was under the 30 day warranty a few mos. ago I had a problem, and the whole driver's side pwr seat assembly was replaced. Parts & labor would have been almost $400 (this was at Carmax- Acura dealer maybe more). The problem was that the seat wiggles constantly and was driving me crazy!!

sorry man, but it sounds like the seat is shot. It could be the switches, but more than likely the whole seat needs to be replaced, sorry
