msd ignition

ok guys, i just installed my new msd ignition. It consists of msd modified ditrobutor cap, nology hottwires, ngk iridium plugs, msd 6A ignition box, Blaster 3 coil. Wut happens is at like 5-6K RPM my car jerks and has a crackle. I called MSD tech's and they said to see if the coil is arcing or the box is arcing. Could there be anything else that's wrong.
I have a 1997 Acura 2.2CL

yep definitely check for arcing, I think agrando had a simmilar problem recently, or it was platano. But it was teh wire's fault. just rev up you're engine manually at the TB and look for sparks.

especially with the 2.x's distributor being so close to the CAI.

ok last night, I had my buddy follow me, and I got it up to 5K RPM and he said he saw a lil flash out of my tail pipe, but it was only for a split second. There has to be something wrong there. And I didn't see any arcing over the coil, or the distrobutor cap or plug wires.

damn, unless you are turbo'd I wouldn't see any reason for that. perhaps the spark is too hot and it's causing your exhaust gasses to heat up too much and burn up the catalyst in the catalytic convertor. go to you're local pep-boys or something and see if there is a stored CEL code. The light doesn't always come on, but for seeing a flash coming out of your tail pipe, something had to have been stored.

I have 8mm Nology hottwires, but those things have built in capacitors. Or do you think I should re-gap my sparkplugs? would that do anything? I'm sort of getting frustrated with this, because I don't want my engine to get all fucked up. And I don't want to waste the money on something that isn't workign out too well.

I checked my timing today, it's good. And my autoshop teacher told me that it may be my catalytic converter has something bad in it. since i already have an exhaust on the way. I'm going to buy a catalytic converter, which kind does the best for our car. I also want to buy headers, are these ok DC sport headers
