Does anyone know the engine/horsepower options for CLs from 97-99? From what I can tell the 2.2 liter 4cyl was available in 97 and the 3.0 V6 was available in 98-99? Is a 5 spd an option in all 3 years?

 

The 3.0 was available 97-99. The 2.2 was available in 97, then the 2.3 was 98 and 99. The 5 speed option was only available on the 2.x configurations. The 3.0 V6 was automatic only.

 

the 2 pt 2 is 145 hp the 2.3 is like 150 i think and isnt the 3.0 200 hp? i could be wrong but i think so. and they are all vtec sohc

SLow is a relative term, they are slower than some, faster than some, wasn't designed to be FAST, just quick enough. I can get to 75 or so on the interstate fast enough

 

alot of cars are slow when their stock

 

So what if the CLs are slow?...Why the hell would you wanna make the CL into a race car?...Its met for sport luxury...So lay back the seat, Put some Kanye West and Just drive slow homey....Now thats a CL with a gangsta lean...Dirtbags!

my name 6 years driving .. 3000 a year 97 cl but i put it on my fathers name 1500 i got a quote for 90 rx7 convertible i bent over and got raped.. 5k the car cost 3k living in queens.. sucks.. insurance hi.. and ppl cant drive here.. keep touching my bumper.. .. brooklyns insurance is 500 on top of other ny areas..

 

well im in florida and i know yall are gonna hate me but 2000 for me and eff that about 3.0's being slow!! Theyre not the fastest but when i goto school every car i see i'd say i could take besides a few. I mean there is a bastard that drives a wrx sti but other than that maybe a few cars could take me.

 

I know how you feel boriqua. When I roll up to school I always park next to my friends, juss so I know who it is if they hit my car. Also I'm pretty sure I can take 97% of the cars at my school. There either Ecplises souped up that run 17.1's, civics that are only dropped with intake and exhaust. There are no really bad ass imports Besides mine of course.
