PROBLEM : clicking sound when brakes are applied?
hey people,
i have a 97 2.2 cl, auto. well here's the problem. when the car is in park, and i press the brake pedal, i hear a clicking sound. i know its coming from the gear shifter. i believe its the mechanism that prevents the driver from shifting gears while in park unless the brake pedal is pressed. but i don't know what is causing it to click. do you people have any idea?
