Pro kit came today...got some questions
Ok first I ordered part #4027.140 (cuz that's what every site i looked at said was for the 3.0). Im wondering what all these #'s on the springs mean. On the front ones it has a "29/99" and "4011.102." I figure the 4011 thing is just an idividual part #, but whats the 29/99 thing? On the rear ones its got 4027.001 and 27393? I assume it's not really important, im just curious.
Also, I'm assuming the bigger, fatter ones are for the front, and that on the rears the flat pigtail end is the bottom, but what's top and bottom on the fat ones?
Thanks.

"29/99" is some sort of a date stamp. Eibach sometimes revises the windings of their springs.
I hope I didn't confuse you. The best way to get a positive answer is to call Eibach (909) 256-8300.

OK it's all good now. I was wrong about which was front and which was rear. The guy at Eibach said the 4011 is used on both 4 and 6 cyl since the rears are pretty much the same. My 'real' front ones say 4027. I was just looking at overall diameter of the spring not the coil itself, plus i never tried to flex them. So now it's pretty obvious which is front and which rear.
So for the rears which side is top and which side is bottom?

Why the fuck would he want more travel?
Shit...do you even have suspension? Your wheel gap is horrible.

I trimmed my bump stops 20 mm in the front and 15 mm in the rear (as suggested by Eibach; or was it KYB--I don't remember which, but one of them suggested it.)

Let me ask you a question...how many people with prokits have cut their bump stops?

Oh yeah, I've never bottomed out with pro-kits.
When I said "redo the struts" I meant taking strut apart from the springs and cut the bump stops after he already installed them because if he listened to your dumb ass he never cut them in the first place.

Mine work completely fine without shaving. I don't see any need if its not gonna bottom out. Its just gonna give you more travel.
And you're still a fucken idiot.

Cutting them will not make your ride bouncy. If you don't cut them and you do bottom out, your ride will be jolty or jerky (often confused with bouncy).

I think you are misunderstanding what i mean by bouncy. I mean if you LAND HARD...like I said the first time. Not that cutting your stops are gonna make you bouncy. You land hard you'll bounce up higher cause of more travel.
I took a 35mph downhill going 85-90 and landed fine. If I had cut my bump springs, I think I would have bounced up higher and god knows wtf would have happened.
Therefore, I don't see why you cut them if you're not hitting. It will keep you tucked.
Think about anti-lift kits. Do any of you watch rally racing? Look at what happens when the car lands a jump...they don't bounce up...they keep tucked.

To prove my point...My friend totalled his supra that night. He was following behind me. Tucked as fuck. Lots or wheel travel. He jumped a 3 ft high walkway and cracked the side wall of a bridge. We were going the same speeds down that road.
If he wasn't that tucked/bumpstops shaved...I don't think he would have flew 3 feet into the air. THAT is what I mean by "bouncy." Not talking about regular daily ride quality.
Oh yea...dennis...If you're so fucken smart:
Explain to me WHY you would cut them if you're not hitting the bumpstop on daily driving. That would clarify this whole thing up. Cause honestly, the only reasoning you've given me is "for insurance." Which to me is stupid.
