prevent window motor wear?

prevent window motor wear?

can we grease up anything to prevent them from failing?

Yeah, that and also, anyone with tinted windows, have you experienced scratches on the tint from something scraping aginst it from inside the door?

no scratches for me either, but the window motor was replaced at like 45k- p.o.s.

You could grease up the tracks the the regulator runs on. I think that is what leads to the motors going out.

At least if it goes out, you can use some of that stuff in you avatar to ease the pain.

I had problems of both my windows getting grease or some kind of adhesive stuck on the small vertical portion of the window closest to the side mirrors. I actually had to take a razor blade and some goo gone to remove it. My window dosen't rub anymore and actually goes up and done a little faster and much smoother.

Acura recommends using silicone lubricant, which they sell or can be bought @ any hardware store. If ya don't grease up yer windows, you'll kill a regulator & be out $$$$$ for a new one!! An Acura tech told me to lub the track in back & the window corner by the side mirrors. After lube, you'll definitely notice an increase in speed and ease as the window goes up & down.
