well some guy said it has a 30% throw reduction and that isn;t preference related...thats a straught fact that doesnt sound like it could be true. No prob pimpcl23 lol

well if ur gonna change it to a prelude shifter and dont want the 30% shorter throw then why change it all?... if u want a "shorter shifter" then u might as well just take a Hacksaw to the stock one

because ur just changing the length of the shifter itself, not the inner linkage of the shifter itself to make the throw shorter. Just shortening length wont do that.

(im not calling you stupid BTW... i just like that smiley)

anywho...a shorter throw on the shifter is more of a performance mod than it is personal preference... if you dont care about shifting fast as hell then why get it? but if you want to be shifting gears down by the catalyc converter then by all means cut ur stock shifter. LOL

I think what she means is: It IS the size of the boat, and NOT the motion in the ocean!!!!

actually.. upto a certain point it will.. BUT aside from that fact the prelude shifter is shorter and shorter throw.. because of where the pivot point is..



not a greaat picture but u can see the differences

so i guess the prelude shifter is for those that want both the shorter look and throw.... ill have to go aftermarket on this on and get the shorter throw since im kool with the height
