I have about 114K miles on my 2.2 auto and there's now a very distinct "moaning" sound when I turn the steering wheel either way. There's plenty of fluid in the reservoir and I changed the fluid a few months ago. Do I need a new power steering pump or is there anything I can do for the old pump?

my 03 cls, does the samething. I guess its a regular, Dealer said low powersteering fluid or new pump. New pump is expensive though

 

mine start doing that after the winter had gone by -.-'' plus go and try this
open ur car door and push the two button window UP it will make the same sound as when your turning the wheel LOLz and it weird x_X i dunno what going on -.-''
i didnt notice it till i push the two window button up at the same time so rain dont come in.
try see if it the same ahhaha. (sound wise)

mine dones that when i start it up, then it goes away...

 

mine use to do that... honda dealer diagnosed a cracked pwr steering pump... but i refilled it... and it's been fine ever since. I Do have an extra pwr steering pump though. I might need it later...but i guess if someone wants to get it off me... thats ok too.
