Po401

I think that was the code that my car gave today. the guy from autozone told me i had to clean my egr valve. has anyone done this? the way he explained it to me, it seems pretty easy. thinking of attempting it this weekend.

it could be a 41 - Wheel Sensor Rt Front but i doubt it unless you got in a accident recently

there is no 401 its only 1's or 10's digits thats it here is a reference

do the code pull yourself, use a paperclip and jumper the wires and pull the code yourself, if its a abs light then look at the abs codes, if it is a check engine light then look at the obdII codes

well a little while ago i cleaned the egr valve. it was really dirty, i put it back on but i still have the check engine light come on.

i think i am going to try pulling the code myself.

ok just tried to pull the code myself and i put the paperclip from the green wire to the red, turned the key and the check engine light just blinked once short. if thats correct, then the code is - Primary Oxygen Sensor Low/High Voltage

anything that has to do with the O2 sensor should be covered under the emmission warrenty that is extended up to 150k
