it might fit but you'll have different type of brakes on either sides.
and you prolly got a 2.3 spindle if your rotors are smaller.

bump anyone please tell me if the 1999 3.0 rotor can be put on the 1999 2.3 hub unit(disregard the brake bracket and the caliper) just wanna know if it will sit on the 2.3 hub correctly.

yes its bigger but the lug sizes are the same , and the spacing is outwards and to the top not towards the bottom where the hub is correct?

if 3.0 rotors cant fit on the 2.3 hub what will happen once i put them on the lugs?? ............didnt some cl'er on azine interchange his 2.3 with 3.0 rotors and calipers and brackets?.. that is without changing the hub..
?

i just ordered me a 3.0 rotor can someone please confirm that it will sit on the 2.3 hub?

(i understand that the dust shield would have to be moved out of the way for the longer rotor)

92-96 Prelude VTEC rotors are the same as the 98-99 3.0 CL.

hey u dont think that my 3.0 engine would cause the 2.3 wheel bearings to fail do you?...(not sure if the 3.0 and 2.3 use same bearing but they have diffrent part numbers..)

how hard was removing the axle nuts and the old hubs and spindles? Did you need any bolts or were you missing any other parts aside from moving the 3.0 plastic shields over?

oh no no i think ur getting the wrong idea, heres what i did.

the axle nut is easy to remove..really easy just bought an 18'' breaker bar for 20 buks and loaned the 36mm socket and popped right off with tire on the ground

then i removed my 1997 3.0 knuckle (its failed thats why im doing all this)

bought a 1999 2.3 spindle( with the whole knuckle bearing hub and 2.3 rotor installed)

removed the 2.3 caliper and brake bracket

took my old caliper and brake bracket and put it onto the 2.3 spindle(knucklebearinghubrotor unit)

then i put that onto my 97 3.0

i ordered a 3.0 rotor to fit onto the 2.3 hub cuz obviosuly the bigger brakes i have on are now extended beyond the surface of the rotor

im plannin on installing that (the rotor) this friday cuz auto parts store dont have it in stock
-----------------------------------------------------
as far as removing the knuckle ,remove the tie rod connection with the knuckle, open the lower ball joint; jack up the rotor ,and put a wrench or whatever metal between the knuckle and the control arm THEN SLOWLY release the rotor down from the jack , the control arm now being unbolted through the ball joint has no where to go but DOWN

then just unbolt the upper ball joint and take that off

dont forgot the abs and brake line
