Please FINAL DECISION!
Please FINAL DECISION!
ok....I've done a search of the entire forum:
Eibach Pro-kit springs...do the rears letters go upside down? or right side up?
Rephrase: Does the compressed part go on the bottom (upside down) or top (right side up)?
I read dustbuster4 putting that his are upside down....but many have been read as right side up! This is making me mad >_<
They said my car was resting on the bumpstops...I got monroe sensatronic struts (because of the lifetime warranty)...so we cut the bump stops down, and it still does it...could it be cuz my spring is on right side up? I'm taking my car in on tuesday, they want to order me OEM struts for my rears....cuz those rode fine.
I also read about a buncha CL's that make a "clunk" noise over a bump on the rear? Mine used to do it, but now they don't...ever since the new strut installation.
Sorry for ALL the questions....but it's so hard to find out, and I want to know if I should tell him to put the spring in upside down, or right side up....please pro's answer! I dont' want retarded answers like "call eibach support" or something...cuz they say "both are fine" but I wanna know how you pro's do it. Thanks

I made a poll: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...hreadid=125676
I called eibach, here's my post from a different thread: "Well I called Eibach today and the dude said "typically the springs end up with the logo right-side up." First of all he didn't sound like he knew what he was talkin about. Second of all he said "typically" i.e. not "in all cases." But get this: He didn't know where the wide side or compressed side would end up on the car, but that they're only gonna fit one way
I've called them before and it was an older sounding man that knew his stuff, this dude sounded like a kid my age who didnt know what he was talkin about. So if someone else wants to give them a try 909-256-8300 feel free."
I'm in the same boat, i have mine but have yet to install them. So I dunno...it sucks that there's no difinitive answer.
