as most of u know i need my hood, trunk, both f and r bumper, sides, and both f & r lips painted black. im thinkin since thats almost half the car i should just paint the whole damn thing. i was thinkin the dark mteallic grey pearl of 2003 audi tt. what u think? i have wanted to do mine the titanium silver that is the is300 the dark silver and get some gunmetal c5's to go with it but now ive decided to just paint the car the og color primrose, it will be cheaper and i can get a deal through my uncle and it will be easier to maintain since i only have a few things to paint, my kombat skirts, the type r lip from soulracing.com if the guy hooks it up, and my bumper. but i havent seen the audi tt color, can yo ushow a pic?

I've always wanted that dark grey color too, but never have the chance to go get a quote. VXCL have you check the price on it yet? I would say go for it if its around 3K, thats a great color.
White with blue pearl is tight too!

Even though you have to re paint alot of your car don't forget it cost a lot more to change the color of your car then it is to just repaint it the same color. If you really want a new coat of paint on your whole car I'd reccomend to stick with the color you have on now.
If you decide to go the cheap way and go with Maaco, I'd suggest that you get a book or read up on prep work and do all the prep work yourself. The reason their paint jobs come out bad is because they never take the time to do proper prep work.

ANy job the change the color of your car is going to run anywhere from $2,000-$6,000. Depnding on the size of the car, the cost of the paint (# of coats as well) and the amount of clearcoat used.

VX, the amount of blending that they would have to do after all the painting what needs to be done, it would prob be worth the entire job. When a bumper/body parts is painted, good shops blend the pieces near to match. The switch to the audi paint would be hot, but costly. Best and cheapest way out is stick to stock, or another black close to stock, less work in the moldings and shit like that. But i must say, custom paint always looks damn good on a CL. And whoever said maaco, that mickey mouse job doesn't belng on a CL, maybe a 93 Oldsmbile.

well even the most expensive maaco job runs around 500-600 bucks and they offer a warranty....its just a less expensive alternative to paying 5 grand for a complete do over of the car.

i went to an audi dealer and checked it out. Dolomite Grey Pearl Effect and it is bangin. The sales guy gave me the paint code 6H6H. The high end shop in my area quoted me 4-$5000 and i AM DOING IT!!! i cant wait. Another 8 sets of xenon stuff and ill be good to go. However im buying the 17" oz supperleggeras first then takin my cl to the shop for a makeover. theres no way im ridin with the stockers after the paint job.
