paint

Hi guys. My car is a 98 black metalic. The car had some damage to the hood before i owned it and was repainted. Problem is there is visible dust under the paint. I was thinking about having the car repainted. If i was to change colors and go with Porsche Midnight Blue Metallic (dont want to sound like an idiot here) i assume the whole car would have to be sanded down before the new paint. How much do you guys think for a good paint job? Also what about the color choice.

Here is an example of a porsche that color

Thanks

your talking about 4,000 for a good job. Porsche paint excluded in that price. You would have to sand, prime and paint. Just bring it to Maaco, $299 out the door for a high quality job

lol, that's for there cheap job though. The "full works" paint job at maaco is about $1000. Sounds about right for a good paint job. Good, not excellent.

Sometimes they have a special where it would be like $500. I have seen though commericals for a while though.

yeah there's a special at the one near me. I got a quote from them for the hell of it, even though I have no money right now. They have the special and knowck downthe $1000 one down to $850 and then plus the door jams, it totals $1011 with taxes and all. Not to bad, for a basecoat/clearcoat and sand blast the previous paint off.

It does not cost 7gs for RSP paint. If your getting charged that much then your getting ripped off....
