There is no denying that it is one of the nicest first gens ever, but it could have been done better. Seems like he was going for the "fast and the furious" look. Personally, I like alot of the body work but some of it looks pretty ricey. With the amount of money he put into the car, it had better fly as well as look good.

just cuz its got a turbo doesnt mean its fast ... it just means that he put a turbo on a slow engine in a heavy car and then made the car even heavier ... i mean, it's a sweet car minus the wing ... but i would not pay to see that car ---- ever

You gotta give the guy mad props on the body work and making an absolutely original looking ride. The wing definately has to go. Anytime you do an interior like that its a lot of work and patience. I could never do that , I have the patience of a guy on roids.

i use to own a chrysler conquest that he got his intercooler from.. they're calling it a mitsubishi conquest but the mitsu model was called a starion... those things wheel. 2.6 liter with a turbo. rear wheel drive. big turbo. forget how many psi but i bet a stock conquest is faster than that. agree about losing that wing too. my 97 doesn't have the stock spoiler and i'm glad. i don't even like those

i liked bernard's (veilside) much better. i liek the clean classy look and not the sporty ricey look. cant deny the car is nice in a diff way and alot of hard work. just not my taste.

"The 2.2L V-TEC was treated to some extensive modifications"
". Two years ago, Gurrreri decided it was time for some new wheels, so he picked up this ’97 Acura CL and set to work on personalizing it."

maybe the guy writing the article was a little confused.

I give him mad props and I also give you haters mad props because your CL's must look better than his.
Personally, I like the whole car up until the rear fender.
to whoever that is. Is he a member of A-CL?

I was readung performance auto and sound yesterday, and the artical sounded like that too, but he said the engine internals had extensive work done. you gotta give it to him he's everywhere. even in different mags for best audio set up at HIN.
it also said some other guys did the work, not him.

It is a nice show car!!! Everybody will not like every show car but this one is still a CL so I think we should all appreciate the car. It only makes it better for the rest of us. We need as many new MOD's as possible. Maybe some company will finally see the potential in these cars and make more parts for them. But if the owners of the cars dont even support their own kind, then why would they make new parts for the car. It is f**ked up that you can do almost anything in the world to every other Honda/Acura product but all CL's end up looking basically the same because we dont have much aftermarket support and when someone does try to break the mold or push the limits we put it down. We are keeping ourselves in a small box.
