I'm running on open header tonight and race gas. This open header shit is louder than hell, OMG!!!.....i'm liking it which is not a good thing....but i will fight temptations regardless and put it back on tomorrow afternoon...but untill then

no back pressure (no restriction) means higher top end, also...race gas = a lil more power

 

k....have you ever seen cars that push letz say 400whp on 91 octane...but with race gas were pushing 450whp also allowing them to increase letz say the psi's in their car.....well, i'm not turbo...but heck, i gotz the money, so ima try race gas and see if i see/feel any differnce......

 

but without back pressure, you suck ass off the line....

 

Race gas is unecessary unless you have a built motor that needs it.

i know...i was just tellin them that it does help....wasnt saying it gonna help me....i'm just doing this for fun tonight and just to experiment...dont get me wrong, i'm not some dumb ass ricer that thinks this is gonna give me huge gains or sumtin....just doin it for laughs and fun.......i'm only gonna put about 5 gallons in, which would run for 25 bucks....

yeh, the first time i went to the tracks, i had smelled something funny, and my friend pointed out that it was race gas. i was like damn, that shit smells nice.

you are losing HP w/ the race gas, trust me, I lost a few tenths at the track. Don't even bother w/ it, it will make you slower.

dude, what octane gas are you running? YOU SHUOLD NOT BE RUNNING ANYTHING OVER 100, and 100 doesn't smell. Sounds liek you are running 110 or C12. That is a HUGE HUGE NO NO!

dayamn man wtf chris i was out there at 11:30 i called your friends cell like 100003999 times and when we got out there. a cop was in the middle of the street b4 the spot with his lights on and i didnt see any cars so we left.

 

I have no 4th gear and my reverse is slipping, wtf...it happened just now while i was driving normally......and i was using 100 octane, nothing more...they sell it at our gas station, hehe....yea, i had no low end power, it sucked....but you better believe that shit can fly on the freeway, damn....that was bad, i was hitting 130 easily without it being sluggish as usually....that was fun, but it seems like i'm not putting my exhaust back on till tomorrow cause itz mothers day and we're a bit busy....his isnt good, i work next to the police station.....and since my 4th gar dont work, i'm gonna be stuck using 3rd the whole way.....Duece i called you up at 1:30...thatz when we finally head out there....took us forever to gather ourselves up.....I beat thersx type S by half a car, he has AEM V2, exhaust, headers, straight pipe, and vtec controller.....he usually pulls on me in third, but didnt this tiime, hehe....

 

also raced a fixed up srt4 neon.....dont know what he had except for graphics and a blow off valve.....he heat me by 1 1/2 cars....not that bad.....i guess....

 

if u run open headers u WILL lose power. also u probly will burn out a valve or two or all. no back pressure is ONLY good for those with trubos. to me its not worth the risk of an engine. goo luck tho. i hate rsx-s 's

haha, naaw, i hit 130 with 4th gear...k, maybe i should be more clear...i raced sat night when everything was okay....but today was when my 4th was slipping (sunday)....anywayz....everything is back to normal, reset the ecu to turn off the check engine light, and had my fun...hehe...it was nice to have a car that brought a lot of attention to it....now i really gotta get my old car back....and clpower, ura i did feel a major power loss at low rpm's, all the way prob up to like 75ish...but on the freeway it did run nicer than usual......well, thanks for all the input guys....and just wanted to let you guys know what i was up to, hehe.....take easy peeps....

i think we gonna start hitting up the tracks now....i'll prob do all this again, and post track times, to show everyone how much you can lose/gain from doing random shit...i think that be fun to experience with......

 

did you guys run out in db? wels when i was out their...this cop was chilling a black past am/pm and had his lights on and was just sitting their so i thought u guys got burned i called that number you gave me like 100000 times no1 answered and you called me when i was home settled in ready to sleep.
