My mom is getting a new bmw x5 and giving her old one to my sister, who drives a 99 3.2 TL. The car has 83k on it, is the heather mist silver and has Navigation. My parents gave me the decision to take her car and trade in mine, or trade in the TL. They are taking the TL in for $13,000, which is a rip. So if i do go trhough with this, everything on my car must go. Everything in my sig, my one of a kind grille, projector headlights, ww lip, eibach springs and kyb shocks, rims, tananbe cat back, gauges and much much more. Please let me know if i should make the trade, i do love the way the TL drives and looks, but i will miss my CL lots.
Please, serious comments guys, i need to know SOON, like buy Thursday.

i'd look at it from the practicality point of view. if you have no problems with your cl and it being a 2 door. keep it. if you like a 4 door car, then get the tl. they're both the same year...but the tl seems to be more luxurious. dunno. if you're parting out your car, i got dibs on the grille.

I was thinking the same exact thing. I do like the Navi in the car, the highway ride and added power of the 3.2 engine. Well i am glad that i got such a response on all the parts for my car. Still heavily debating though, gonna have trouble sleeping tonight about this

there's no f'in way i would trade in that CL for a TL...with all that money and time you put into your car, there's nothing wrong with it and IMO..your CL looks alot better than a "heather mist silver" TL could.

All the time and money invested in your car to make it look that good... And then to start all over with a heather mist CL that isn't a Type-S...

If you really want Navi, get an aftermarket.

if i'm not mistaken, in 99 the TL only had the 4 speed auto... 2000 came the 5 speed auto. 4 speed auto... slow 5 speed auto..quick i'd keep your CL you have already put alot of money into it... keep it TL's are nice, my bud has a 2001 with the 5 speed auto... it's damn quick faster than any 2.3/3.0 i've been in. i have driven a 99 TL = much slower
