oil catch can

I've been seeing oil catch cans more and more these days, mostly on turbos but would this be a benefit to non-turbos too or what?

What benefit at all do you think it could offer? Just curious, and no it won't benefit, just wondering what you think it would do other than look pretty

Actualy, it does help your engine. By catching the oil going to the Intake manifold from the valve cover, your keeping unwanted oils from entering the intake manifold and that keeps tempatures down and maintains a clean Intake manifold which is want you want. Its seen more on turbo vehicles but alot of NA guys do it. Its just taking that extra step to help you engine stay clean. To take it further, some even block of there EGR, however, if your going to do this, you need to do it right and block off the system completely otherwise your going to throw a cel.

Yes. You can get a DIY catch can in for around 19 - 25 dollars. The EGR will take a dremel, some gasket peices and time.
