How many quarts of oil are supposed to be in a '97 cL? Anyone ever here a bubbling sound coming from the engine after changing the oil? Is this normal. I used mobil synthetic 5w-30.

 

i use mobil 1 5w30. ne ways it takes a good 4.5qts to fill it up which includes changing the oil filter also.

Did you ever notice any bubbling sound coming from the engine? Sounds as if i was boiling oil?

 

I used Mobil 1 synthetic 10W30 last time (they didn't have the 5W-30)

Does anyone see any problem with changing to 5W30 from 10W30 for winter? Its only below 20 degrees F for a month at the most here.
