hey guys i went to work today and drove to work fine but i got off and i tried to start it the first time it didnt start just made a click and i thought nothing of it fcause when i turned it over again it started fine. but now i am getting ready to go gambling at the indian casinos with my girl and i go out to start the car and guess what..."CLICK"......fucking thing woont start i tried many times, the battery is brand new and its not the battery cause all my guages and instruments light up fine.

the question is do you guys think it is my starter silenoid or stater or could it be the ignition. i wish someone around here was on the board and could hear it, this is confussing to me

any help if you can, im going gambing anyways driving the girl's car but its nothing compared to my CL, fucking FORD(fucked over rebuilt dodge)

It's the starter. For sure. I had this problem a few months ago. It would inconsistantly start. The silenoid is going out in your starter. Not getting a clean spark.

I thought maybe it had something to do with the ignition recall, but nope.

How much did you pay for one, and can i get one from a pick and pull? autozone and kregans wanted 177 for a starter and a 65 dollar core charge

anyone else know what i shoudl do?? im a broke college student and a pick and pull starter would be nice but a new one would be better but acuraautomotiveparts.net does not have the starter listed it just has the starter accessories listed and i called them 2 to ask but they dont know till tomorrow

yeah its the starter....i can't remember how much i paid for my last one. hehehe....a broke college student but going to an indian casino huh? gotta make that money

well with my luck i have been going to the indian casino 4 times and twice i have come back on top last time i came back with 800 and guess what i only had 40 to start of with but this time i went i lost about 200 but i shooting 50% with my gambling at the casinos

my car still does that occasionally. acura told me the negative wire from battery to ignition is fried. they told me the part was on back order. not sure why that particular parts on back order ,maybe recall

I paid like $230 or something. But eveything is marked up here in hawaii.

you can get the whole starte rebuilt, its way better than buying a factory if the person knows what they doing, i got mine rebuilt for 60 dolllars

Keep in mind that our '97s have a recall on the ignition switch.

I bet you that's what's going on.
