The check engine light goes on indicating low voltage to the O2 sensor after the cat. What needs to be done and where can I take my car to get the sensor replaced w/o getting raped for $150?

if i am right the 02 sensors should be covered under the new extended warrenty up to 150k, call your local dealer and ask them if this sensor is covered under the new extended warrenty for your car, if i am right i got mine replaced by my local dealer and it didnt cost jack didilly

 

It is covered under warranty. I just had mine done 2 months ago and my car has an AEM CAI and DC Sports 4-2-1 Header. Shouldnt be a problem.

 

I don't have the extended warranty...unless this is a recall...I have 71k miles...my warranty ran out like 2 years ago because I hit 50k back then. Should I call the dealer anyway?

 

It is completely free to 150k miles regardless of your cars normal warranty. It is Honda emissoins extension warranty applied to various Honda/Acura models because they didnt pass emissions after many years.

 

I just called up...you guys are all lucky b/c your cars are 1997...no Acuras made in 1998 were given that extended emission warranty...the guy said not to worry about it unless the car doesn't pass inspection. He said it may also be the computer is tripping because of reduced back pressure
