I've been noticing a lot of black CLs with the stock lenses on and black housings (darkcl, vxcl, clpower). It looks real JDM! I hadnt thought of using the stock lenses until i did my headlight housings. I love the look now! Next up, type R lip!

i was one of the first you copycats! it's all good. i did it because i got jdm sidemarkers and it matched.

 

yea ive noticed that too, i must say it does look better, wonder how it would look on a green CL, BRB!

yeah i prefer the an oem look. when ppl dont know my car isnt modified that is a compliment. the rear exhuast cutout is a dead giveaway, but ohwell.

i cant say i'm a copycat since i noticed the trend after i put my ambers back on. although i did get the idea for amber top corners from you mike.

 

u mean amber bulbs in the top corners? cuz that what it did. or did you die the clear lense amber? i thought about that also, but it doesnt seem like it would look good.

Yeah, I had to put mine back in because I cracked my clears trying to black them out. I was pretty much planning on putting the orange ones in anyway, since I figured i'd screw up.

On black cars I definately like the oranges better. Unless you have chrome rims and are going for the bling look.

mike, yea the amber bulbs in the top corners, the headlights wouldt look right with amber lenses up top

 

people have been wanting me to get clears for years on this damn board. I've never listened to any of them


now if only I ever got around to the painted housings

It's not worth it to me, I don't plan on having this car for long anymore or putting anymore cash into it.

i thought you were talking to me (my names mike too), i got ambers lights on the top and all my other CL friends says that looks dope! (they all got stocks or blue bulbs) looks real nice at night

yea the amber looks hot with the CL, and with HIDs you definitely cant match them with wedge bulbs...

 

In my opinion the black cl's are the sweetest looking cl's when lowered on some dark wheels( still gotta lower mine ). and the factory lenses look great. I like hwo alot of us have the same ideas. you know what they say, imatation is the greatest form of flattery.
