nose mask

anyone have a full nose mask and / or know if it fits with oem fog lights?

I can't handle any more F&%king road debris damage to the front end of my car and am looking for a solution other than repainting the bumper and hood every few years.

Assuming you're talking about a bra, then I believe it does, but I'd have to check to be sure -- what year, btw?

I have the full bra for a 97 CL (top and bottom), if you're looking for one...I'll sell it cheap. I bought it awhile back and have found that the top section (that fits on the hood) "slaps" the hood at speeds over 50mph or so...the bottom part is fine, and I've used it once or twice by itself.

yup I'm talking about the bra.

so you're telling me the acura oem bra flaps around in the wind at less than highway speed?

if that's the case, there goes my easy solution.

When I was at the L.A. autoshow a couple weeks ago, I saw a clear coat bra that could be applied. It could also be taken off with no damage to the car, and you could barely see it while it was on the car. It was really just a thin layer of urethane or something. I dont know if they sell it yet, but I think it was probably pretty expensive.

I found several clear bra sites. there are different kits for lights and front painted surfaces, incl mirrors. costs a few bucks. I was thinking the extra padding with acura's oem part would be nice, but not at the cost of having my hood beaten by a flapping piece of vinyl.

i never understood, bras/nosemasks. i could see putting it on for a long road trip involving some gravel or something, but why would you leave it on all the time?

for me it breaks down like this...

I've never thought about using a bra on any of my cars, but this one has more chips and shows more damage than any other car I've owned. plus here in colorado we use less salt and more gravel when it snows, so it's problematic and I'm grasping at straws for a winter solution.

I use mine on the car in the winter. It is an Acura half "demi cup" bra. It keeps all the raod sal and gravel that flies around on the roads here in Western NY from damaging my car. I take it off if the lat Spring to early Fall.

I don't worry too much about fading and such beacuse there is little sunlight in the winter. I just wax the heck out of the car before winter. Hope this helps.
