no blinkers 2.2 cl

I have a 97 2.2 cl and the blinkers are not working. I checked the fuses and bulbs and they are fine. has anyone encountered this problem?

not an electrical guy, but I'm gonna assume it's got something to do with wiring or a relay switch in your steering column?

If you recently took out your radio and forgot to plug back in your hazard lights switch this would make them not work. Look to see if it is unplugged because I had the same problem.

Good point

I did that with my dimmer switch when I was trying to test my gauge cluster lights while it was ripped apart, freaked out for a min, but quickly figured out to hook that back up and it worked fine

well for me it isn't the hazzard lights.. i know for sure. i just got done getting all my stereo head unit stuff out of the way. i got my alipine external dvd on top and alpine screen on bottom. i did a custom mount. which wasn't hard btw. i just dont have the housing.. but it looks wayy clean ill post some pics up when i get my camera back from my girl..

and for my signals.. they dont blink but hazzards do. im wondering if its my ground? cuhz i got bored one day and started to splice wires in my signals and tried to run power from parkings.. (bad idea) i wanted to get the whole bumper light to bright up and signal at the same time. i blew a couple fuses changed it, everything worked.. but then i tried again and poof no more signals since 4 months ago! since then been a better driver (not that im not already) =)

has anyone had this problem before.. and to that matter know anyone good with electrical trouble shooting who doesn't charge a million bucks~!

Check the fuses under the hood one of them may be blown... Also check to see if the harness is plugge in to the hazard switch.

If all that checks out... Go to the auto parts store and replace your flasher unit! If memory serves me right the flasher unit is tucked under the dash on the drivers side by the fuse panel. Good luck!
