No AC = what belt size?

So when the AC is removed the belt has to be changed. There is one less pully it has to go around. So what size belt do i use. Anyone know??

u should just be able to go to autozone, or where ever you go, and tell them you need the belt with out AC. they always have it when i go there.

There are three seperate belts, Removing your AC ain't gonna bother the PS and ALT belts. Just pull your AC and be done.

either that or wrap a string around the route of where the belt goes, tehn measure it, and count the grooves the belt runs on

or you can route a tape measure around all the pulleys. and subtract 3 inches.

i did it for my 80' mustang when i put my stroked 302 (ahem.. 418.25rwhp). i didnt put the a/c on there and i had billet pulleys (different size), and a fluiddampner. you just count the ammount of ribbs on the belt and ask for however many inches. tho this one is alittle harder to get to.

whats the point of removing the A/C anyway? Its not using any power unless its on. Just leave it in there...

you gotta get it over the pulleys, and the adjuster will take up the rest of the slack.
