I'll have to say a GS430. The thing is really fast, spacious and very luxurious. Not to forget reliability and resale value.
I own one and it's fine in the winter with snow tires.
It's got so much torque, when you hit the gas all you hear is a muted snarl from the exhaust and hang on......
I know the M45 is as luxurious and is faster than the GS430 but I've heard too many problems with that motor.

Cool, I'm kind of leaning that way. What year is your GS? I just had a 2002 GS430 out for a spin last night and it was a blast! But that 300hp 4.2L Audi A6 V8 was pretty crazy too. The A6's front/rear weight distribution was wierd, and it felt a little "numb" for road-feel though.
How long have you had the GS, and is there anything to keep an eye out for?, besides condensation in the headlights.

lol, wtf man, thats quite the spread. A 04 coupe is $40K CAD, and the 05 RL is $71K CAD. And for that much $$$ I take an 05 M45 sport.

I don't know why, but domestics kill it for me. I couldn't justify shelling out $40K for a GT w/ leather, int. pkg., and a 5spd. It was fun to drive, but I kept thinking of the shit-kicking I'd take If I drove one off the lot. In 3 years they'll be worth 1/2 that.

Mine's 01. Had it close to two years now and it's the best car I've ever owned. No prolems except for condensation in one of the lights. Some people complain about the 17" wheels. I have the 17" chrome wheels but unless you get good tires and keep it balanced, you could have vibration. My winter set is 16" and it is actually a bit more comfortable at the cost of quiet a bit of sportiness. Mark levinson audio and the NAV is excellent.

I don't really care for the Audi interior. Too dull and dark.

The GS I'm looking at has the chrome 17s, and it did have a vibration, but I got them to re-balance the wheels. Now it's a dream to drive.

Well i'm down to the wire now. Its between a blue 03 G35 coupe with 2500kms!(1500mi.), a silver '02 GS430 with 80K kms(49K mi.), a silver '05 TL 6spd w/ 12K kms(7400mi.), and a pearl white '02 A6 with 80K kms. All pretty much the same price.
Heres the hard part now, choosing one.

If the Subaru GT has the 2.5, then the CL would blow it's doors off. Even with the 3.0, non-turbo, the CL would probably be tied with it, at least. A Subaru turbo might be a different story, but much as I love Subaru's, the '99 CL is a much classier ride than the present (2000-2005) bodied Subary sedans (I have both). An TL/RL would be in another league.

Believe me, if there were any good examples of 540s around here it would be on the list, but the ones I looked at were all old and busted, with higher miles, and they still wanted top dollar for them.

Yeah, the Legacy 2.5i (168hp, 2.5L SOHC) is weaksauce.
The Legacy 2.5GT (250hp, 2.5L DOHC, turbo, intercooled) hauls ass though - 5.8 sec. 0-60.

The thing I didn't like about the 2.5GT was the interior. It looked like a Japanese Jetta or 3-series. Really plain, simple lay-out but with "asian import" plastics and vinyl. Not my style.
