NO! before the oil change! you do it BEFORE the oil change! trust me, I'm trying to save you nine pages of debate on that post!
you don't have to put it into your oil, but if you do, an oil change is recommended after 500 miles.

My stupid EGR thingy is throwing codes again, this might help clean up a lil more of the gunk in there. They mention it on their site too.
Any risk of dislodging any stuff that doesn't need to be (IE filling some holes up?)???

Found a lil more info, shouldn't be any problem putting it in the combustion chamber. I'll have to pick some of this stuff up.
However, I was just reading on the V6P thread and another one they had linked there wanted you to put it in your oil. THIS IS A BAD IDEA FOR A HIGH MILEAGE MOTOR 75K+ - same problems high mileage motors have with synthetic oils will happen.

ok I pointed to the correct places. when you follow the correct line to the back and to the left, it disconnects real easy on the far left side, where it goes down into a black box thing.

Just picked up a bottle, will try tmw or next day. Cost me $5.69+tax, 16oz at O'Reily's. Hope this clears up my EGR gunk enough to let the check engine light go.
From my understanding, the pipe should suck up the fluid, pour it into a cup or something and just dip the pipe in the cup. If the engine stalls, pull it out for a bit.

no way! put it in your oil and your gas line too!
My car cranks SO FAST now! it used to take about 2 seconds, now I barely turn the key!
This is DEFINATELY DIY! Just get a flexible cup (styrofoam) so that it can squeeze down behind the engine since the tube is not long. don't let it continuously suck it up, it will stall in 3 seconds. I would let it suck for 2 secs., pull the throttle cable a bit, the let it suck up 2 secs more, and again and again.
I did notice that a little smoke was coming out from the headers. I don't think I ever re-tightened the bolts on the headers. So you all keep an eye out if you have header(s)!

I still don't think it wise to put it in the oil. High mileage cars tend to have deposits that block some developed holes in gaskets, seals, etc. If you dislodge these, it's possible to have a slight oil leak. Same thing happens with putting synthetic oil in a high mileage engine. Too many stories about this, and I personally know a couple people that did the sythetic swap thinking it was cool (semi-ricers) and ended up with oil leaks/burning oil.
It may not do a damn thing, I'm just saying that you need to beware that it could happen, regardless how unlikely. It's up to you to do with your car what you wish, I just wanted to warn you guys. I won't be putting it in the oil b/c of this reason, and b/c I don't think there is that much junk on the bottom side of the engine to warrant it.

well yeah! hopefully all the gas stations have sold us really good gas through the years!
I guess if you have a high mileage car and it causes leaks, it's a good way to get you up off your ass and change your gaskets/seals

I think it'd def worth it, and upon a quick search, you'll find this is VERY common to do. This could really help, esp if you use not so great gas. I use 90% Chevron gas which I believe is one of the best but there were also 64K miles of gasoline I didn't put in the car and haven't a clue where that gas was from.
I just can't believe I didn't know you could do this, I haven't been paying attention for the last couple years.

I pick up some today. Didnt get a chance to do it though. I popped the hood and looked for the pcv line and there are a couple that look like the ones I've seen in the 3.0 pics but still not sure were they are on the 2.3. Anyone with the 2.2 or 2.3 done it yet. Little help

To me this thread seems funny with all the smoke stories. It seems as though we will be reading a thread next week about all your cars blowing up. Here is a picture of the PCV valve location on the 2.3. You guys can be the guinea pigs. Post replys on how you make out.
