New stereo, check it out

I just ordered some new component speakers, and currently have an eclipse 8053 sitting in my closet. Here are the components...http://cgi.ebay.com/CDT-HD-62-M6-6-1...QQcmdZViewItem

I am thinking about competing in SQ competitions, but still need to gather lots more gear...and money. Anyone here really into stereos too?

ive never heard of this brand in my life, and by the look of the quality, i wouldnt buy it personally. (correct me someone if im wrong)

currently i have audioibahn equipment, consisting of two 15's and a 800watt class D amp.

id recommend brands such as JL, Kicker, Audiobahn, Boston Acoustic. Dont go cheap with crap such as lightning audio, audio pipe, jensen, anything you can find at walmart/some stuff at bestbuy.

ive found that circuit city has some good stuff. look in your paper/local online craigslist and look for a cheap secondhand system. i got my two 15's in a box for $130 at a pawnshop and my amp for $125 from a local guy.

i did some further research with this product brand to find their reviews page.

below is a screen shot of the reviews from their website.

ive never heard of any of these magazine. i think i might have read road and track once at my barbershop and i know that that magazine is some what credible on sports cars reviews, i dont think it would be great with aduio..... my two cents.

Audiobahn is some pretty terrible sounding stuff man. My old subs were IDMAX 12s, and a us amps 2000 that setup alone cost me 1000$ brand new that stuff woulda cost 2000$ and sounded awesome.

The deck I have right now is one of the best SQ decks out there in the past few years, and I can't wait to get an amp for it.

I would place CDT speakers on the higher end of the scale. Many who are into SQ setups use them.

but as with anything, installation is KEY !....you can spend $1000 on a component set, but if installed in a poor location and your imaging and sound stage is crap....they will sound like the $99 Jensen shit you buy at Wal-Mart
