New Car

Well i've been looking at a couple new cars. I'm not getting rid of the CL, I was gonna keep it as a daily driver, but I wanna buy a car that I can take to the track. I'm either looking at an Integra GSR, Prelude, or a Civic Si. I have plans to build the engine, boost it and throw some nitrous through it. Right now I'm leaning towards the integra, just because it is a cheap base car and I can find a lot of parts for it. Plus it's the lightest car.
Let me know what you guys think.

if you're gonna build the engine than i would go with a older civic hatch and go k20 on that beast.

how old, cuz I don't like the looks of them. plus if I do an engine swap I don't wanna remake motor mounts. I just want it to drop in there.

why?? most of them are high mileage, it only makes 160hp. ive take a B16B, B18C1, or a B18C5 anyday over a B17. i mean they still have all the same potential. but there was never a JDM B17 so most of the USDM B17's got low miles.

B21 or B20A for the win. lol

alright, so I think the GSR is the winner. So what would be some good brands for engine internals. I know skunk2 is good, crower, and what are some other ones that I might want to look at.

BLOX, AEBS, TODA, JUN, Ferrea, Omni Power, etc etc, the list goes on and on. those were just the ones that came to mind first.

4th gen prelude. They're highly overlooked, they handle incredibly, and the VTEC model makes good numbers stock out of the H22.

They can run high 14.9s completely stock, and theres only room to go up from there.

yea but when the integra weighs 500lbs less and you can always put an h22 in it, I don't think I am, then you can do the same thing.

yea but most of them probaly have high miles.

and please dont swap a H22 into a integra, you might have to sacrifice a few things.

I'm not plannin on it. I'm gonna go with a b18C1 and build all the internals to have a lower compression, I'm gonna put a greddy turbo kit w/intercooler and a 75 shot of direct port nitrous. I'll have it run off of the hondata s200 ECU.

if you want huge numbers i wouldnt go with a greddy turbo kit. why dont you just go all-motor. the GSR already has a higher compression ration. all motor B18C1's make nice numbers.

because I want something that will be in the low 12's high 11's that's my goal.WHat's wrong with a greddy turbo kit. Nobody else makes a kit for it, unless it's drag or edlbrock and I haven't heard anything good about those brands.
