new to acurazine

I am new to the forum and Acura's as well. I own a '98 3.0CL premium and since I have bought it I have put a CAI, Arospeed muffy, magnaflow cat, and bosal mid-pipe. I am looking to lower her sometime soon and was wondering what is the best setup for daily driving, drag, road racing, and possibly drift. basically i am looking for an all around suspension to fit my needs and give a respectible drop, but nothing too low. thanks in advance for the input and look forward to being a member on the boards.

First off, welcome aboard, i think you'll like it here, definitely a great site with all sorts of people that know their cars.

I have a 2nd gen CL, but I think most people will agree with me that all around, a good set of coil overs work quite nicely. Granted, they're not the cheapest route, but if you can afford it, they're definitely worth the money. I've only had my Tein SS-Ps on my car for a few weeks and they definitely have a nice feel to them (not to mention the adjustable dampening and ride height). As most other's on this board will also agree, if you plan on goin this route, save up your money and do it right. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. You'll definitely be happier in the long run if you save up your money and do things right the first time.

yea, i had eibachs on my previous car (94 talon tsi) and i liked the way they rode, but i'm not sure i want to go that route again or get coilovers. the only thing bad i've head about coilovers is when its cold it is hard to crank them to adjust height and that if you do get them you need to get a whole suspension because one of my friends put coilovers on his civic and it messed up the struts (granted i'm not driving a civic, but its still something i want to consider). the only thing im torn on is price. right now i can afford a set of megan headers. if i went for suspension i'd have to do it piece by piece and i'm not sure if thats the best thing to do. pretty much i can't afford anything over $500 on any mod right now. so should i save up for the suspension or just go the header route and save up for suspension and have it on by late spring/early summer.

Are you starting to be biased against your 2.2?

get a tranny cooler, youll thank me. its the best investment youll ever buy. and on the drifting thing. if your goin for super handling id go with the tein coil over setup. kind of expensive but from what ive always heard... worth every penny. oh yea i got a 3.0 so we do > 2.x.... just cause i say so.
