Well, my car goes in tomorrow to get my windows tinted.. what do use think i should do?.. these are my 2 choices.. 5% all around, or chrome faded to black?.. what do use think, i think i like the 5% better, but if i do go with the 5 % should i put a lighter tint on the 2 front windows?

That is just my opinion but that stuff looks so cheap i would go with the straight black

 

I would get 5% but something lighter in the front. I had 5% on my probe and you can't see anything out of it at night. It was great in the summer though because it was a lot cooler in my car when it was sitting in the sun all day.

 

i have the 2nd to darkest on the rear, and 3rd to darkest on the sides all around (sorry i don't know percentages) I think the back is like 10 and the sides are 17 or something. Here is a pic









when looking from the front back, you can't see shit cause the back window isn't letting in ANY light. However, when doing a side shot, you can see that a little light does get in. I would of gone darker, but out here you aren't allowed to have the driver or passenger window tinted. So i didn't want it to be TO obvious.

limo tint is awsome but... here in Cali.. to much troble with 5.0s

i think 5% would look hard.. but im more into clean look so im going with 35%

 

how can you guys say chrome is ghetto? the new mercedes have chrome or blueish purple for options of factory tint. chrome tinit is classy if done right. black is more ghetto than anything. every little civic and beretta running around with chrome hubcaps and GTS light covers has dark black tint.

now chrome to black, that isnt even ghetto, its homeless shelter looking. just my opinion though, keep that in mind.

not that black cant look good, which it does on the right color car (black, white, etc..) but there is no way, at least in NEPA is chrome ghetto. black has been done way to many times.

just my opinion, mmkay.

also, i think if you are going to do tint all the way around do it all the same darkness. unless they are about 5-10% difference, large differences in % make the car look uneven.

ghander, i like your tint. i had 2 layers of 5% all around on my last car. i cant do tint, but we added a second layer in the summer of 98 (i think) and you could barely see out at night.

 

I think chrome on some cars looks ok but i said chrome to black is ghetto :P

now if you wanna get some 50% mirror tint that would look nice.... any more and the police will make you take it off.

i think black is still classy.. eventho everyone has it.

 

I would go with like 25 on the back and 35 on the sides. Here in PA they have some strict ass laws on that and they like to enforce them. If you get 5% they will be all over you in no time. Go with the %'s I said and it will look good and you should be ok with the po po.

 

what color car you got?? the darker the tint depends on the color of the car IMO black and white cars look better with darker tint... i dont know what its called but i saw a civic ( sorry i said the word ) with this sweet ass silver tint it wasnt the fade to black kind it was just all silver on a silver car too looked real sweet.... jst my 2 cents

out here, every ford taurus on chrome, every old school POS tercel, etc. has CHROME tint. Mercedes blue tint is a different story. It's a MERCEDES, they can do what ever the fuck they want

i have the burgandy red colored 97 cl 2.2 wha tcolor is that and what kida tint looks good with red i havent seen much and cant imagine what it may look like

 

how bout on out "CL" silver color..... I've seen black on it but i dont think it looked that good..... maybe cause it was unkept.....anyways on the silver what do you suggest ... not really dark i dont feel that but .... I dont know I'm confused
