NEED IMMEDIATE HELP With CAI INstall

Just installed AEM CAI into 98 2.3 cl.

We ran car at idle for 15 minutes and the idle speed never picked up. it was probably about 300 rpm (!). And then it stalled.

i think we installed correctly. We just took aout ecu fuse (light was on) and are letting it sit for 20 minutes. Any help ASAP appreciated

thanks alot. matt

did any water or anything else get inside your cai/filter element/or throttle body. If you did get anything in there then your car will run like shit until it either gets evaporated or passed through your system. Did you spray any fuel injector cleaner or throttle body cleanerin there? Did you rinse of your cai before install?

We used some nut loosener spray when installing the bypass tube (I think that is what it is called). Could that be the source of our problem?

When I give it gas, it runs fine with quick accelerator response. The only problem is the idle and it bogs initially when I give it gas.

Thanks for the quick response, guys.

P.S. Where is the idle screw located.

:shakehd: If you can't do this mod don't attempt anymore! Are all your emmissions sensors hooked up? Are all hoses connected? Did you unbolt or take anything off your throttle body? Is the tube for the CAI free and clear? Is the plastic off the filter? Is it dry? Is there gas in the car? Good Luck

I think the problem is where I "cap off" the line. Where exactly is this? is it on the throttle body? or is it one of the lines that runs into the black, disc shaped metal piece in the rear left of hte negine? And do I cap the line itself? or the part of the engine/compnent that attaches to the line?

Any help is really appreciated. I am about 15 minutes from taking it all out. If anybody wants to call me, that would be awesome. 202.415.0316 (i will call you right back to avoid charges). thanks. Matt
