Need help within next hour... PLEASE READ

I am having problems with my alarm, its being spontanious... when i first got the cl it did this for a week or so and the damn thing went off one day while i was in school they called me out there... not sure if it has to do with the cold weather or what, but the fucking thing is doing it again... the only thing i played with is the ground for the horn, i just cleaned it because the horrn/stop light fuse keeps popping, i noticed there are two wires that go into that ground slot, is this also the hood sensor? is there a hood sensor on factory alarm? If this is it can i just unplug the two wires that have the horn ground too, seing as i cant get the fuse to stop popping anyway? ANY HELP WOULD BE GRAETLY APPRECIATED...

Is it the factory alarm? The factory alarm system is a passive system. It should only go off when the door is unlocked or opened. It doesn't have a hood pin. If it's an aftermarket alarm it could be a host of things. That fuse that is popping sounds like something is making the fuse ground out or too many volts are being pumped through it. Take it to the dealer if its a factory alarm.

i think you can adjust your hood sensor up to make it compress all the way.. it might just be partially compressing. that or replace it.. alot of people have had problems with it.

I had a problem with the hood portion of the alarm, but only after I got backed into by some old man, I just unplugged it. :/

i had the same problem.....your alarm is just most likely sensing that the hood is open....there is a green wire that runs from under the passanger seat to the front of the car, just unplug it from either under the seat or up front by the hood. the alarm will still work, just if someone opens the hood the alarm wont go off now
