Need help making a decision

I've been wanting to purchase my next mod and can't decide between pulleys or HID's. So far i'm leaning twoards the HID's. But would also like the extra power the pulleys make. I just don't want to do anything that could potentially hurt my car. So if any one with both of these could tell me which they prefer it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, if you're on a budget this may put it into perspective, the pulley will give you a good gain, but the HID's you can install yourself I'm biased though I just did my projector HID retro, and ordered 2 sets for my 4runner I have UR pullies, but haven't paid to install them yet, I installed the HID's myself though

I am leaning towards the pulley. Just for the fact that the pulley does not attract the cops' attention. Secondly, the pulley give you some more power and response. And if you're pulled over and have to pop the hood, the cop would never know that you modded your pulley.

HOWEVER, if you get the pulley, you have to make sure that the mechanic/shop install it right and does not mess up your idle tensioner, or your accessory belts would slide sideway and mess up your car. What i'm saying is: When you look at the running engine from the front of the car (3.0), the belt should be moving towards you; however, if the tensioner is messed up, the belt will move towards you and sideway (<--- and/or --->) at the same time, creating a winding noise. I had that problem with my car when i have a shitty shop installed the UR pulley.

regular 9006 hid kits will be no problem to "deal with" They just plug right in and work. Pullies are way harder to install

HIDs ftw. One of my favorite mods besides suspension. every time i drive a car without HIDs at night... it sucks. bright lighting is a must a night... just make sure they aren't aimed too high. I've never had any problems with them or with cops about them
