Need Help Immediately!!!!!!

HELP!!!!! My car won't start!!!!! When I try to start it, it clicks on-off-on-off, like the interior lights and a clicking sound. Please tell me it's my battery and not my ignition switch, cause i can always jump my battery. I have a performance tonight and I need to leave in less than 45 minutes!!!! I'm going crazy. Please someone know

Your alternator may be bad which may have drained your battery.

Duh !!!!

I didn't even pay attention to the fact that it's a 5-speed!

Put it in 2nd gear, and roll down a hill (or have someone push you). Pop the clutch, and the car should start!

I believe that in 2nd gear, you'll turn the rpms that you need to start the car (versus 1st gear). Once the car starts, immediate push in the clutch, and put her in neutral (to charge the battery).

You can do it in a straight line, but you'll need one hell of a push!

Do it in first or reverse...it doesnt matter.

Turn the key all the way on....roll the car till its moving (pushing works) with the clutch in then let it out....should take of running.

Be ready to push the clutch back in to keep it from stalling.

thanks for all the help so quickly gentlemen. I didn't have anyone to push and i'm in a busy garage so i got jump started and let the battery charge. Now finally I'm back to normal. Should I get a new battery since all this happened or am I cool with this same battery?

sounds like the alternator or starter. My car is doing the same thing right now and I need to get it checked out. Does anyone know where I can get a 180 amp alternator cheap?
