Need help asap, car turns over but wont start
Hey guys. My car is being a complete asshole lately. I was driving and the thing shut off on me, I'm pretty sure it overheated but I couldn't tell because my temp gauge is broken. Tried to turn it on, the car turns over but wont start. So I thought maybe it was the spark plugs and/or wires, so we tried to take them out and replace them, the plugs were melted on so we finally pried them out and gt new wires and plugs. The car still turns over but doesnt start so I'm at a loss for what the issue is, someone plz help me. I just want to get the car running and sell the god damn thing.

yea, my coolant is very low but I didnt think that would affect if the car started, only when its going it wouldnt properly cool the system and would eventually overheat. Also with the thermo, I figured the car would start and again, overheat. But I will definitely try those guys, thx

Sounds like your car got hot as hell, and now you can't start it. Good thing your car knew when to call it quits...You couldn't smell it getting really hot or anything?

I went to the track once, and it didnt smoke or anything, I just assumed it overheated because a little bit of water had dropped out of it and a little steam came off where the water hit the timing belt, also the wires had melted. My hg isnt blown, but the diagnostic said the system was running too lean and I can't figure out why it would be running lean all of a sudden.
edit-I think I want to try and flush my radiator, how would I go about doing it? And I have a new thermostat to put in, where is that located?

You can't flush a rad without a rad flush machine
You can drain and fill though, just like every other fluid on a honda.
There's a twistable plastic drain plug on the bottom of the rad, you will have to remove the plastic shield underneath to get to it, just open the bleed/drain plug WHILE THE COOLANT AND ENGINE ARE COLD! and just drain all your coolant out make sure if you have pets ie: dogs or cats that you clean up any spills extremely well or they will lick them up, once all is drained, replace drain plug and fill with 50/50 mixture, prestone 50/50 will work just fine, there's only 2 companies in the world that actually produce antifreeze, it's just branded differently.
Once full, run the engine with the fill cap OFF and let it bubble down until it's full, top off as neccessary and make sure there is at least something in the overflow bottle.
The thermostat, there are pics and diy's posted on here, search

you can buy a "flush" fluid, and it actually cleans out some crap. When you refill, (make sure the car is off) put coolant to the top, and put your hand over the refill hole. Then squeeze the top hose that feeds into the engine a few times. This creates a slight vacuum pressure, and helps push the air out of the coolant lines and radiator. Then fill to the top, and repeat until fulll. Just a little trick I use.

i think the thermostate is inside the engine where the top radiator hoses connected to. take off the hose and it should be there.
migh be wrong, correct me if am wrong.. am going to change my radiator and thermostat this weekend. the pos is leaking coolant everywhere.

Be sure to replace the gasket with a new one.

wow... we was wrong... -.-'' f23 the thermostat is at the bottom hose... how i know? i change my radiator today and i bought the thermostat to change that too but while i take apart the old radiator and took off the top hose from the engine found out there wasnt a thermostat there -.-'' so i just hook up my new radiator and bring back to autozone the thermostat. am to lazy to change it.. to much work hahahaha look like a mess.
correct me if am wrong.. i just know it not at the top.. and if it not at the top commen sence it is at the bottom hose... i use the search button but then got a headace from reading stuff that i dont need to be reading ehhe

im sure you kno this suprachica, but all have to do to check if your feul pump is bad is turn your key to the on position... you should hear a buzzing/whining sound for about 2 seconds (this is you fuel pump priming the system)
