I am the one that has done the carbon fiber install over the wood grain trim it is not that hard but it is not that easy, i have instructions if you would like them but they are 8mb so you need to contact me via aol im @ jgiguere17, i will send em to ya if you want em, detailed and illustrated instructions that walk you through it but if you want to know what else you can do you can do a CF look like mine, a brushed aluminum look, someone has done the black leather vinyl like D5C5B and also people have painted it, i also have achieved pics of cl's and interiors that have been changed just hit me up and ill hook you up man

i just dont like the look of it. It looks tacky to me. In all honesty, i think it is disgusting. But i wasnted a car like my 97 accord that got stolen. And this was as close to the same exact thing as that. I got an awesome deal on it. 32,000 miles on it, for 12,900......its a five speed in perfect condidtion.

Nah, fake carbon fiber or fake aluminum looks worse.
I rented a Lancer the other day, and the fake shit that was on the dash looked fucking horrible! :thumbsdn:
I'll take wood grain any day over fake carbon fiber or fake alluminum. It only lowers our CLs to the status of ricemobiles!
BTW: No offense to those who have TASTEFULLY converted their wood grain to something else.

Thanks for the support and negative critisim, I like the look of the CF but i am working on sending the piece to Florida to have someone do them professionally in CF, He's an up and coming guy trying to get his name out, hopefully i can get it done for free and advertise for him and get some peps to send some part to get done by him. Ill let you all know when i get it done, it will be in october sometime cause the CL is going through a makeover in september and i hope to have it all done by the begining of october. but cant say too much cause its still in design and in the works but i want to get her ready to put some real cash and time in her to show it at shows
my uncle is currently looking at that one magazine about the lambo install on a CL and see how the bracket was made and hopefully we can do something cool with it, i dont know lambo's are cool but i would love to see a gulwing like a jaguar xke, that would be sweet :d but i think the doors are way to heavy.
as far as the cf vinyl goes i think it looks alright but after i broke the main trim i cant take off the cf due to sanding and fixing the piece. you cant tell unless you brush your finger over the broken area i fixed. but the woodgrain was nice i just wanted a change from the old man look aka grandpa trim
