but no for real ~ does any one know what the electric pump is in the front of our cars?? i hear it at stop lights and when i start the car. ?? its quite loud and is not constant -- any one know ??

 

Electric pump? Could be a lot of things. You need to be more specific. Like when you say "in the front of our cars" do you mean in the front by the radiator or in front behind the firewall?

 

no no no....ok, its either the ABS or the computer i think....it happens like once a week for me...its like a 2sec. HUMMMMM....and thats it....it sounds like its commin from infront of the Pass. Airbag...

 

Everytime I start my car and also random times while im driving i hear the cows under my hood "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" which is the abs modulator. I dunno why though?!

 

that noise is the abs pump cycling. it's very loud first thing in the morning when you start up. first time i heard it i thought i f*#ked something up

 

it could be your fuel pump..... does it make the sounds when you first start the car on low gas?

 

Dude the same shit happens to me, its really loud and i too think its from the abs, but why??? my abs light is on . Im dumb at this so please help me out.

 

i am pretty sure that it is comming from the front passenger side maybe a powerstearing pump? or the abs break pump? not sure? just wanted to see if any one else had hear this sound from their cars?

 

Thank God someone else noticed it. In the AM, I reverse out of my parking spot, and when I put it in D, I hear a 1 to 2 sec electric pump sound. Couldn't tell you where it's coming from. Thats the only time I notice it. It happens to me every day.
