My First Integra!!!!!! YUCK!!!!

That caught your eye!

I took my CL to the dealer today (for the 3rd time) to look at a malfuntioning power window regulator. They replaced the regulator this morning, and it's worse than ever!

So........I took it back AGAIN, and they told me that they're closing early for the holiday (sounds reasonable) and would give me a "rental" for free.

So........I got an Integra (built 4/2001) with 7770 miles. This is the first time I've driven an Integra. After 30 minutes in the Integra, all I can say is:

I WANT MY CL BACK!!!!!!

Whoa!!!

Which dealer did that? Criswell? If so, I know not to take my baby there next week. I don't want an Integra to ride around in while I get my CL serviced.

Hey,

No problem! I really wish it was an RSX (especially a "Type S")!!!!

I thought Acura stopped making the Integra at the end of 2000. This car proved me wrong!

That's what mine keeps doing; even after they put a new regulator (motor) in it!

i bought my car last year at pohanka acura in chantilly, va and they gave me a 2001 integra for a loaner once. it was terrible. i was having 3 of the wheels replaced on my CL...they were "bent" according to the dealership.

anyway, i hated the integra, it was like an LS or something. of course, that wasn't as bad as the chevy metro i had to drive for 12 days as a rental when my car was in an accident. my insurance company loves me so much that they hook me up with a fine piece of machinery. yeah right.

I guess the Integra must have seen like heaven compared to the Metro?

My Integra was OK, it's just been a while since I was driving something that small/low power/and without leather. I'm spoiled!

Let's not get TOO spoiled. The Integra is a great car! My sister hates it when she takes hers in for service and they give her a CL loaner, because she thinks the CL is too big and unresponsive. Granted, that's a 2.3, but to each their own. You could get a loaner like my BMW place gives: an economy-size car from Enterprise.

BMW doesn't give you one of it's own as a service loaner?

What does that say for the faith in their customers?

I wonder if this has anything to do with my co-workers decision to cancel his order on his M3 and X5! :P

He's buying a Range Rover and a Jag.

Actually, it has more to say about how many BMW's are in for service at any given time. I know I've had an especially bad experience being in the shop so often, but all four BMW dealers I've used for service (in different parts of the country) were jam-pack slammed. They just can't keep that many cars on the lot to use as loaners!

New to board, just bought a 1997 CL 2.2 with 39700 miles for $9000 - clean history. The driver's side window sometimnes does not roll up all the way and is slow as hell. Should I spend the $1000 for an extended warranty and have the warranty repair the window (approx. $400 dollar repair)? Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Yes, spend the extra grand and have it pay $270 for each window regulator, cause they will break.

Agreed! Plus the warranty can help cover other "unexpected" problems that show up. My extended warranty has MORE than paid for itself!
