Maaco uses a cheap one stage polyurethane paint; their technique of painting leaves you with lots of orange peel; they are extemely messy, getting paint all over your moldings; this description basically describes their "Ambassador" line of service. Which BTW sucks. And for this reason I went all DIY!!! Glad I did!!!

And as far as a good body shop...as I recall, there is a reputable shop on Coral Way (24th St) going west. It is just a big blue building, I don't recall the name, but Illbsee if I can find it. I took my car in for an insurance claim and although I didn't get my car fixed there I talked to some of the folks there and took a tour of the shop and yes they are of very high quality for very reasonable prices. Post a picture and I'll give you a quote that you probably can go to a shop down here with, using it as a gauge/asking price.

-James

I have to check my address book but that's at work, I'll post when I get it. I know I have the business card. In the meantime...goodluck!!!

New paint jobs suck. Too expensive. Take care of it and wax the fuck out of it when you get it fixed.

If you go by there you sill see a good mix of ferrari's bmw's mercedes along with hondas and nissans sitting in their bays and out front. They do prob the best work Ive seen, only thing is to paint the whole car and take out any little dents look at about $2,500.

They will prob just put on a new panel since our cars are made out of soft metal, you just cant get it to look perfect if you try and bang it out.
