well if i can find a really good deal on a manual then i might take it, but this one suits me for now

if you want the fun of driving a 5 speed at the cost of losing about 50 hp/tq, then go for it.

however, if you can find a way to do some major work to your 2.x engine and regain that power, then go for it...

otherwise, the v6 model really isnt that bad. ( )

cuz he said he wants to save up to buy a manual..unless hes got 200k miles or something there should be need to save a penny.. trade that thing in..

 

i dont mean to hijack and this could be a dumb question but what was the reasoning behing making an auto 3.0 only??

but u will loose a lot of money buying and selling the same car with diff engines.. so economically i say FUk it. Unless u factor in the $$ on automatic tranny repaird ur gunna have to pay. So if u factor that in, its worth it. i hope i confused u more.. godbless america

Manual is definately more fun but I'm happy with my 3.0

 

I've had auto, then stick, and back and forth with various cars ranging from FWD, RWD & 4WD varieties.

I've driven mid/rear engine, and of course front engine cars.

Here's a short list of the previous cars I've had the chance to own, ultimately leading up to my current 2.3CL stick (listed in order of most recent):

1999 Acura 2.3CL 2-door coupe 4-cyl/stick
1998 Suzuki Sidekick Sport JLX 4-door 4-cyl/auto
1987 BMW 325 4-door sedan 6-cyl/auto
1990 Suzuki Sidekick JL 2-door convertible 4-cyl/stick
1990 Suzuki Swift GT 2-door coupe 4-cyl/stick
1968 Ford Mustang 2-door coupe 6-cyl/auto
1978 Fiat X1/9 2-door coupe 4-cyl/stick
1986 Toyota Celica GT 2-door coupe 4-cyl/auto

The only thing I can say is that what ever the car is at the time you own it, is what you're meant to drive at the time.

If you wanted a stick, you would have held off buying your current ride until you found stick. If you wanted some juice, then of course nothing beats a fast ride such as your 3.0

I sometimes wished I have the 3.0CL, but I desperately wanted to go back to stick, and don't regret it one bit.

There is definitely more sensation and feel when you are in total control of your ride plus the feel of interaction and involvement compared to a slush box.

Either way stay with your 3.0CL, and enjoy it for what its worth. At least you won't need to feel you have to squeeze out as much as you can from a 2.xCL

If your gonna get rid of your car, upgrade! As much as I like my 2.3 stick, I would never trade her in for a 3.0... But then again, I will never ever own a auto.

 

That funny, cuz everytime I see a 3.0 on the streets, I think. Its gonna suck to be that guy when he as to pay half the price of the trade in value of the car to fix his tranny!
