manfactured projector housings

i think that there is enough interest in projector housings that we should start a petition or write a company like DEPO to make a projector housing for our cars. Im positive if they made a normal looking projo housing (like no ricey angel rings) in a chrome version and a black version, they would sell a lot.

What does everyone else think?

im working on a design with apc but the interest is not there from the R&D they say

but it is hard

ive been trying to get them to make a set for over 2 years now, and now i am finally getting them to listen to me

it is hard and the money to research it is a lot thats why i will design them and hopefully sell the design to them

see, all these aftermarket company makes ghetto looking LED angel eyes..............if we get angel eyes, i want the real BMW looking ones, not the cheapo LED rings.

I'd perfer no angel eyes then the LED ones.

Something similar to this design would be ideal........simple projo low beam, and reflector high beam.

yea the only problem with using real oem bmw ring you are talking big bucks

thats why there is aftermarket companies that make them, to cut the manufacturing cost down with cheap products

it may not look as well but it works

also i am going to submit a design that uses hopefully the valeo h7 projectors since you can modify them to fit d2s very easily

but it is going slow and my contact time is limited with my hours i work but it will get done

the design will get done but the implement on the companies side is up to them if it is costly enough to provide a new lone of headlights and the demand is there as well

remember all you business majors out there, key thing to having a sucessful business is your supply and most of all yoru demand.

dual projectors, D1S setup from a Audi i believe i cant remember, also come in the 300 M 2004, very rare setup, with a brand new setup of bulbs and ballasts for my hook up at osram

dont ask how i got it but i did

then the dual is a rx300 mini fog light projector fitted with a JDM yellow bulb and i will try to run it as DRL like the lexus cars, then to top it off i found some nice Halogen exterior projectors for 30 bucks, the brightest AM exterior projectors for fogights and they are halogen buls which i will switch to a nice piaa so then you got yourself a triple beam setup 2 inside one outside

then on top of that im testing out retroing in OEM bmw angel eyes with custom leds, 10k mcd and 12k mcd, i need to see what will look better, pics will come soon, the leds should be here any day

but pics are coming so are the instructions to make them, which i will give up for a small fee since this project is expensive and my writeups if you ask anyone are VERY VERY detailed, look at my Woodgrain Removal Instructions, 8 pages and 8 mbs big

the projector one i am expecting to be around the 15-20mb file, and this is a word document

so hold all your horses time is of the essence and i dont have much of it but you will be amazed when im done i know my hard will will show and my R&D for over a year and a half of designing way too many setups that would work is finally paying off now with what ive planned

thoes black housings look REALLY good on the darker colored CL's............but for thoes of us that have red, primrose, or the light blue, chromed housings are better.

im thinkin of blackin mine out anyway(car wheels heads tails etc.). and if they made white why not just keep chrome. i would however prefer body colored housings over black or chrome anyday. all i know is, i want something different.

I don't think any. I always wondered if you take the housings off an accord( cuz the headlights and corners are seperate) and mold it into ours would it work.. I don't think it would be too tuff, plus they have projector lights for the accord

well, here was the reply that i got from TYC about making them............

In regards to custom lamps for the Acura CL, we will not be producing lamps for this application. Unfortunately it is not possible to produce a custom run of lamps due to costs involved. I understand the demand for an new item, however the average cost of the tooling itself is about 250-300k. When an application is selected for development, we look at number of vehicles sold, currently on the road and demand. If any of these falls short, particularly the first two, then the application is not selected. I hope you understand. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks.
