lights and misc; PIAAs, or Polargs?

well i checked out the forum for the windshield blinkers. My friend has a blacked out X5 up the street with white ones on it and it looks nice. They're really subtle so its nice. I was wondering, do they relay with your blinkers? and how? because i've seen them blink n-sync with the blinkers but i cant imagine how.
oh and how much are they? and are they easy to install? It might be a rice thing, coz ive only seen it on civics and integs, but hey, go for it!

oh and i've been tryin to find some streetglow lamps (some 6inchers) and they're really expensive and hard to find. I saw them at the streetglow site for 54 bux. there the size of a pencil!! they've been backordered for months, as well as NOS because of the fast and the furious premiere and its just been a hastle to search for them so i gave up for now. I was wondering if there are any other brands that i can get or something for cheaper because this guy at one shop told me i could get his for 15-20 bux but i dont htink his was streetglow. So yeah im just wondering everyone's opinion. Im planning on putting them either under the dash or under the seat. My only hesitation is that people might kick them if they're nder the dash.

OK last thing, for headlights? and other lights such as plate lights, corners, etc. whats the best? ive used polars and they're really nice (m4s) and i compared them to raybrig and i dont like raybrig because their hyperwhites aren't as bluish as the polargs. The polargs are just as bright as the raybrigs too, but i've been wondering about the PIAAs for lights because they're so reputable. juss lookin for some opinions!

oh and one question, has anyone changed their lisence plate bulbs? because i checked them and the stock ones are larger than my polarg M4s yet the plug is still the same. I've never seen aftermarket bulbs like the stock ones, so im just wondering if i can use my m4's and not have a shortcircuit or something since they are smaller. does the brightness range with how big the bulb is? oh, i have a '99 3.0 CL Premium.

thanx guys/girls!

oh and relating to the wedge bulb concerns, apparently raybrig m4s are more expensive than polargs, but PIAAs are way more expensive. Might be payin for the name...but who knows? there are so many choices too, plasma, HID, x-treme white, super white, c'mon now whatsup with this? haha

piaa platinums are very bright and very white. contrast from weak stock lighting is night to day. I have night blindness so better than adequate tint and lights are important to me. highly recommended. you can get them for $62-65 a pair. spend the money. one thing to note: the bulbs are blue but emit only white light. frankly, h.i.d. color looks cool but gets lost in the rain so you still can't see.

piaa's 19168 wedge matches perfectly and also works as a license plate bulb replacement (that larger clear stock bulb is a couple watts higher). 169's and 170's match their super white h4 and plasma h4 headlights respectively. you can find them for around $12.50 a pair.

I use piaa extreme white 19225 (7440) for the front signals. extreme puts out h.i.d. blue. same price as the wedges.

good luck finding brighter lights for the tail. all the stock bulbs back there are either thinner than normal or have some bizarre pin config. I tried piaa's 1156/7 equivalent but they don't fit and I wasn't excited about shaving the housing to force it. any suggestions would be appreciated as I abandoned my search for brighter reverse lights a while back.

I've PIAA Super Plasma White as high beam and Platinum Super White as low beam.
I had tried them both on low beam and in terms of brightest, I think they both are pretty close. But the plasma one give you a slight purple tint which looks great just like those HID you finds on BMW.

thanx for the info guys, the details really help. im gonna go and try to find those PIAAs, it sounds like they're the best, but as many shops i have been to around the bay area, i have yet to see PIAA wedge bulbs or even headlights (maybe they're too expensive for the shops to buy since rent is so expensive in the bay area) but who knows, and i am interested in those neon tubes. What color are they? and is the power supply the car lighter power outlet? does it come with a converter/switch thing? i heard that is helpful. thanx, take care all

well my personal opinion (used to sell them-PIAAs and gen brand of super white) PIAAs are really bright and will make day and night difference driving but its not too blue like hid. its just white.
But if your looking for the looks of the hid rather then the performance the go with the gen brand.
will save you money and the gen brand have 80 watt power ones too just like piaa.
i have gen brand and works just good as piaa.

my car for now

hey marko i got piaa extremes in my taillights. just use a large pliers or screw driver and carefully bend the metal. just take ur time. it took me like 5 mins each to do. they look so fuckin sweet at night when my car is in reverse. also those led washer sprayers. i have mine wired directly to the + on my blinkers and they blink in sync with my bumper blimkers. no realy is needed. any1 know where i can get some piaa extreme 9005/9005 imported from japan cheap?? like $80-90
