Lights dimming after installing pulleys

I was wondering if anyone was havin problems with their lights dimming after they installed their pulleys. When the car is sitting in park or at a stoplight and the rpm's are low the lights get dimmer and then as soon as I give it gas and the rpms go back up my lights go back to normal. Does this sound like an alternator problem possibly? I am running a decent amount of wattage to my amp, maybe I need a larger alternator???

This is happeneing because by installing pullys, you are making your alternator have to work more, because more power is being used for the motor, and less to help the alternator run. Be careful when using your stereo, because if you have a high power stereo, you could screw something up in the electrical system.

Exactly... you have to expect that when you install pullys... it comes with the teritory... the 600 watts RMS is definatly not helping the situation...I probably run less than 600 watts RMS between two amps and I have a stock alternator, stock battery, and NO pullys and my lights dim when my bass hits.. try to upgrade you alternator...
